Kim Kardashian West was held at gunpoint Sunday night inside her Paris hotel room, but has emerged from the incident unharmed, her spokeswoman said.

French police said that millions of euros had been stolen from the reality star in the incident, mostly in the form of jewelry.

"The loss amounts to several million euros, mostly jewelry. The total amount is still being evaluated," the police said.

Spokeswoman Ina Treciokas told CNN that "Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken but physically unharmed."

The representative gave few details.

Kardashian, one of the most identifiable US celebrities, was last week approached by Vitalii Sediuk, a famous accoster of the stars, who was caught on video attempting to kiss her behind in an apparent social commentary.

Kim Kardashian West is in the French capital for Paris fashion week. Her mother, Kris Jenner, and sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner accompanied her.

According to CNN, Kim had earlier in the day attended the Givenchy runway show in which Kendall was walking.

Her husband, Kanye West abruptly ended a performance at the Meadows Festival in New York after learning of the incident mid-set.

He ran off the stage saying "I'm sorry, show's over."

A representative for the festival took the microphone to declare a 10-minute intermission before quickly returning to say that West had a "family emergency" and had already left.

The festival later issued a statement that praised West for a "great show" and said: "Our thoughts are with West and his family."
