Caitlin Jenner to be honored at Jewish Values Awards

Jenner will be named 'Champion of Israel and LGBTQ Rights' by the World Values Network

American television personality and retired Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete Caitlin Jenner will be honored at the Jewish Values Awards gala in March, the Jerusalem Post reported on Saturday.

Jenner will be named “Champion of Israel and LGBTQ Rights” by the World Values Network at the gala ceremony in New York on March 8.

The gold medalist, who is not Jewish, is being recognized for her advocacy and support for Israel, as she has made a point of highlighting Israel's acceptance and tolerance for the LGBTQ community. 

Previously known as Bruce Jenner, Caitlin Jenner rose to fame when she publicly transioned and became an advocate for trans-gender rights. 

The athlete was married to Kris Jenner and gained acclaim on the reality TV show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
