Anthropic in negotiations to acquire Israeli startup Decart AI for $6 billion - report

Anthropic, the artificial intelligence company behind the Claude chatbot, is in advanced talks to acquire Decart AI, an AI infrastructure startup backed by Nvidia, according to Reuters, which cited a source familiar with the negotiations. Bloomberg first reported that the potential deal could value Decart at around $6 billion.
Decart develops AI infrastructure, optimization technologies and its own AI models. Its products include Lucy, a model designed for real-time video editing, and Oasis, which creates simulated environments for training and testing robotics and autonomous-driving systems.
If completed, the acquisition could give Anthropic access to Decart’s technology and engineering expertise as the company faces rapidly growing demand for Claude. The deal could also strengthen Anthropic’s ability to improve the speed and efficiency of its AI systems and make better use of its available computing capacity.
