Saudi leaders congratulate Biden, Harris on election win
Crown prince sent cable to Biden and Harris, reaffirming desire to foster US-Saudi cooperation

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated US president-elect Joe Biden on his victory in the 2020 US election.
According to the official Saudi Press Agency, the two leaders congratulated Biden and his running mate Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
The crown prince sent a congratulatory cable to President-elect Biden, sending his best wishes for his success, as well as progress and prosperity for all Americans, and reaffirming the desire to foster US-Saudi cooperation, the SPA said.
A similar message was sent to Harris.
The Saudi leaders were among those who took their time before reaching out to Biden and Harris - a list that also includes Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
On Sunday, however, Netanyahu also extended a congratulatory message to the Democratic ticket following their projected victory in the November 3 election.
US President Donald Trump, for his part, has vowed to contest the results of the vote, alleging voter fraud on behalf of his rivals.
