Air France to include Israel on in-flight maps after passenger outcry

After coming under fire for omitting Israel from its in-flight maps, Air France will from now on include the Jewish state on its computerized flight path screens.
The company responsible for providing passengers with electronic maps on the French airline's planes announced on Wednesday that it had added Israel to the maps.
Air France passengers on several recent flights noticed that Israel did not show up on the in-flight map and they voiced their concern last week on the Facebook page of the pro-Israel organization Stand With Us.
Alarmed by this omission, Dr. Shimon Samuelsm for example, sent a letter to Air France chairman and CEO, Frédéric Gagey. “French members of our center have sent us reportedly captured shots from the English and French language of an Air France flight-path, taken last week between New York and Paris, and the locations ‘Israel’ and ‘Tel Aviv’ are glaringly absent,” he wrote.
The letter asked whether "Air France has succumbed to the BDS [Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions] campaign to delegitimize the Jewish State by literally wiping it off the map.”
Air France has since apologized, saying they “deeply regret this incident, due to a map scale and display problem which is currently being resolved.”
A similar incident took place in 2009 when British Midland International Airlines, a part of British Airways, apologized and claimed that a technical error had erased Israel from their in-flight maps.

More blatant anti-semitism ... and blatant anti-Christian and anti-Arab ... and anti-the others that live there. I blame the UN.
Really?!?! Air France has since apologized, saying they “deeply regret this incident, due to a map scale and display problem which is currently being resolved.” And yet Gaza and West Bank, 2 smaller entities, are displayed!
