NYT report reveals Netanyahu and Kushner have long history of friendship
PM considered Kushner's father a top donor to his campaign and stayed at the Kushner family residence

A report published in the New York Times on Saturday reveals that President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu share a long history of friendship. The report comes just days ahead of Netanyahu’s scheduled visit to White House, slated for later this week.
Kushner, a property developer and magazine publisher who has been credited with being the brains behind the scenes that helped get his father-in-law elected, is married to Trump's eldest daughter Ivanka.
The report includes a leaked list written by Netanyahu which reveals that he considered Charles Kushner, Jared’s father, a top potential donor for his political campaign. Netanyahu also reportedly stayed at the Kushner family residence on visits to the US.
Murray Kusher, Charles’ brother, also filed a lawsuit against him for misusing funds, partially for spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on speaking fees to Netanyahu.
Jared Kushner, despite his lack of expertise and experience in foreign policy, has been appointed a top aide to President Trump on Middle Eastern affairs. Trump stated that Mr. Kushner will attempt to negotiate a peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians which he referred to as “the ultimate deal.” Kushner has reportedly been reaching out to several Arab Sunni leaders but his policy in the region is still unclear.
The grandson of holocaust survivors, Kushner was raised in a Zionist household and attended a Jewish school that omitted much of Palestinian history from its curriculum, the New York Times reported.
