Former President Joe Biden’s cancer has spread, son reveals
Hunter Biden confirms that his father's prostate cancer has worsened and spread to the bones and other parts of the body, indicating that his health condition has become extremely difficult

Hunter Biden, the son of former U.S. President Joe Biden, revealed that his father’s health has deteriorated, saying that the cancer he is battling has worsened and spread to his bones and other parts of his body.
In an interview with the BBC, Hunter Biden said it was painful to watch his father’s condition deteriorate. He explained that the cancer “has spread and is now in the bones and other places,” adding that his health situation has become extremely difficult.
He added that his father remains present and active within the family, describing him as “the best father, the best grandfather and the best husband,” despite his worsening health.
Prostate cancer diagnosis
Joe Biden announced in May 2025 that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer after undergoing medical tests that detected the disease.
Since the diagnosis was disclosed, attention has focused on the health of the former U.S. president, who left office on January 20, 2025.
Biden withdrew from the presidential race in July 2024, after which his then-vice president, Kamala Harris, replaced him as the Democratic Party’s nominee. She subsequently lost the election to President Donald Trump.
Hunter Biden’s comments have once again drawn attention to the former president’s health as he continues treatment for a disease that was described at the time of diagnosis as an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
