Shooting-ramming suspect at Michigan synagogue dies - report
No other injuries were reported; authorities clear Temple Israel in West Bloomfield

The suspect involved in a vehicle ramming and active shooter incident at Temple Israel synagogue in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, has died, a person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press. Authorities say no one else was injured during the attack.
Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard confirmed that security at the synagogue engaged in gunfire with at least one individual. Law enforcement is clearing the building, and FBI agents remain on site, FBI Director Kash Patel said.
The attack occurred at the nation’s largest Reform synagogue, which serves roughly 12,000 members and includes an early childhood education center. Parents were allowed to retrieve children from the center after police approval, and the West Bloomfield School District went on lockdown as a precaution.
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer called the incident “heartbreaking” and said she is monitoring developments. The Jewish Federation of Detroit has advised all local Jewish organizations to activate lockout protocols.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident. Further details on the suspect and motive have not been released.
