In an operational update broadcast live from the White House late on Wednesday, President Donald Trump said that the US had accomplished much of its strategic goals in Iran, and the war was likely to last another two to three weeks.

Trump declared that the joint US-Israel campaign against Iran is “nearing completion,” and that “victories like few people have ever seen before." Trump added that what began weeks ago has already achieved “swift, decisive and overwhelming” results, and insisted the remaining objectives are “near completion."

“Tonight, Iran’s navy is gone, their air force in ruins, their leaders, most of them… are now dead. Their command and control of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is being decimated as we speak,” Trump said.

“The nuclear sites we obliterated with the B-2 bombers have been hit so hard it would take months to get to the nuclear dust,” Trump added. “If we seem them even make a move for it, we will hit them very hard again.”

“We have all the cards, they have none, it’s very important we keep this conflict in perspective,” he said, pointing out that after one month it was clear that this intervention would not drag like some of America's previous oversea engagements.

“From the very first day I announced my presidency in 2015, I vowed that Iran would never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon,” Trump further added, underlying that the mullah regime has been chanting “death to America” and “death to Israel” since its establishment in the 1979 revolution.

The Iranians, Trump said, “were the bully of the Middle East, but they are the bully no longer.”
