Trump says Iran ground invasion would be a 'waste of time'
“They’ve lost everything," the US president responds to the Iranian FM's remarks, saying strikes will continue

President of the United States (US) Donald Trump on Thursday dismissed remarks by Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi about a potential ground invasion of Iran by American and Israeli forces, saying the idea is not currently under consideration by Washington.
“They’ve lost their navy. They’ve lost everything they can lose,” the president said, adding that the air strikes would continue with the same intensity.
Araghchi said earlier in an interview with NBC that Tehran is prepared for a ground assault by the US and Israel. The comments came as tensions remain high following ongoing military strikes by the US and Israel targeting Iranian capabilities since Saturday.
Responding to the interview, Trump dismissed the statement. “It’s a waste of time,” the US president said when asked about Araghchi’s remarks.
Trump added that an invasion is not something he is currently considering. Instead, he indicated that the ongoing military campaign would continue at its current pace.
The president said the tempo and intensity of the strikes would remain unchanged. According to Trump, the operations will proceed as planned amid the broader confrontation with Iran.
