US sanctions dozens of entities, individuals over Iran military and oil networks
The US State Department and Treasury announced sanctions overnight on nearly 70 entities, individuals, and vessels tied to Iran

The US Department of State and Department of the Treasury announced sanctions on Monday against numerous entities, individuals and vessels linked to Iran, aiming to restrict revenue the regime uses to attack its neighbors, support terrorism and oppress its own population. The action, called Operation Economic Outcast, targets those who enabled strikes against US forces and allies during what the State Department called Operation Epic Fury, as well as Iran's petroleum and petrochemical trade.
Two Iran-based entities were designated for supporting military targeting: Dadenegar Startup Studio, which used commercial Chinese satellite imagery to support targeting and battle damage assessments, and the IRGC Cyber-Electronic Command, which obtained information on US military assets and facilities.
Seven individuals tied to Iran's military were also designated. They include IRGC Commander-in-Chief Ahmad Vahidi and Khatam ol Anbia Central Headquarters commander Ali Abdollahi, both named in the State Department's $10 million reward offer last week; Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council; Sayyed Hosein Majid Musavi Eftekhari, commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force; Seyyed Mahdi Farahi, deputy defense minister for industrial and research affairs; Amir Hatami, commander of Iran's conventional military, the Artesh; and Reza Talaei-Nik, spokesperson for Iran's defense ministry.
The sanctions also targeted nearly 60 entities and individuals involved in Iran's petroleum and petrochemical trade.
Several Türkiye-based traders and India-based traders were previously designated for importing tens of millions of dollars worth of Iranian petroleum products. Singapore national Narmina Dadashova was blocked as an executive of Alt Capital, designated in May. Iran-based Abhar Polymer Compounds and Hong Kong-based Selenium Resources were also named as exporters in the network.
Under the sanctions, all property and interests of the designated persons within US jurisdiction are blocked, and US persons are barred from transactions involving them.
