US sanctions Italy-based tech-collective for providing services to Hamas, Antifa, Palestine Action, and others

The US State Department announced a slew of sanctions on Wednesday against several organizations it says are responsible for supporting and engaging in terror activity.
The primary target of these sanctions was the Italy-based Autistici/Inventati Collective (A/I Collective), which the State Department says is responsible for supplying digital infrastructure to a wide variety of terrorist organizations.
A/I Collective provides secure digital services that are used to recruit, organize, and train new members while remaining beyond the reach of the law.
The State Department accuses the group of providing support to the Portland-based group Rose City Antifa by disseminating material used to disrupt police operations.
The group is believed to host roughly 16,000 mailboxes, 1,500 websites, 5,500 mailing lists, and 10,000 'blogs' on its custom-built platform, which is used to disseminate target information, tactical manuals and techniques, and communiqués about recent attacks.
The sanctions come after several convictions against a variety of individuals who used A/I Collective's network to receive material that supported their crimes, including one sentenced to 19 years for attempted bombing of a federal building.
While the ostensible targets are far-left extremists, according to the announcement, anti-abortion extremists "Jane's Revenge" was also charged with using the collective's network. Jane's Revenge are accused of firebombing crisis pregnancy centers across the United States.
The State Department also accuses the collective of disseminating information for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Hamas, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and others.
Sanctions also targeted Palestine Action for "having materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, or technological support for, or goods and services to or in support of, an act of terrorism."
Palestine Action was recently proscribed in the UK for targeting a military base and arms factories supplying Ukraine.
