Eleven people were killed in Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon, seven of whom were killed in a strike on a house near Ansar, according to Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. Salam condemned the attack in a post on X, saying that the Lebanese government is responsible for dealing with military structures (Hezbollah infrastructure) in their territory and “their existence does not grant Israel the right to violate Lebanese territory or endanger civilians.”

The strikes came in response to Hezbollah violating the ceasefire, attacking Israeli troops in the security zone, the Israeli Prime Minister’s office stated. The Israel Defense Forces says it killed Ali Samir Al-Haj Hassan, the battalion commander in Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force, who ordered the attack on IDF troops, in the strike. CENTCOM Commander, Admiral Brad Cooper completes 10-Day Trip to the Middle East

Adm. Brad Cooper, commander of US Central Command, completed a 10-day trip through the Middle East on Saturday, visiting Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, along with a US Navy aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea

Cooper met with senior civilian and military leaders, and spent time with deployed troops, according to a statement from CENTCOM

At sea, Cooper met with sailors and Marines aboard USS Abraham Lincoln, his second visit to the carrier this year after a February trip with Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

The Abraham Lincoln, based in San Diego, deployed in November and arrived in the Middle East in January, conducting thousands of combat flights supporting Operation Epic Fury and the ongoing naval blockade against Iran
