CNN, MS NOW and Politico filed a First Amendment lawsuit Monday seeking to restore their journalists' access to the White House after President Donald Trump banned the three outlets. The emergency request is set to go before a federal judge in the DC District Court and could bring hearings and legal arguments from the administration as soon as this week. "This ban could not be a more direct assault on the First Amendment nor a more blatant violation of our most fundamental constitutional principles," the outlets said in their lawsuit.
Meanwhile, it was reported that US President Donald Trump decided not to join Saudi Arabia, for now, in strikes against Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen, despite ordering the Pentagon to prepare for airstrikes just days earlier, says the New York Times, citing administration officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity. Trump's initial decision to strike came after Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called, asking him to intervene. Trump initially declined and offered only intelligence and targeting support until after US diplomats met Houthi officials in Oman and received assurances the group did not intend to close the Bab al-Mandab Strait. UK Prime Minister says Britain will provide Saudi Arabia with “defensive air-to-air refueling” support against Houthi attacks
While travelling for the United Nations General Assembly in New York, UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham told reporters that Saudi Arabia had requested support from the UK
"On the advice of the defence secretary and the foreign secretary, last night I agreed to that request," Burnham said, explaining
The UK will only provide support for air-to-air refuelling for Saudi planes on defensive missions, rather than for a wider range of military actions.
One RAF voyager will be used for the refuelling.
It's Burnham's first major military decision since taking office.

“In addition to participating in the various agenda items of the United Nations General Assembly and elucidating the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, our country's Foreign Minister will hold talks and consultations with a large number of officials and foreign ministers attending the summit,” Baghaei wrote
The United Nations General Assembly will begin later today
