Military strikes persist in the region, with US President Trump stating that Iran was rebuilding its missile systems. According to the president, Iran was developing a rocket designed to deploy mines, which he claimed the US had destroyed. Trump predicted that the renewed campaign against Iran would not last much longer but warned that the US was prepared to strike if necessary. Meanwhile, in an interview with i24NEWS’ sister Hebrew channel, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was emphatic about toppling the Islamic regime. 'We will defeat the [Iranian] regime. All of Israel's systems are working to overthrow this regime and defeat it,' the prime minister said.
Despite focus on Iran, Israel continues to fight both in Gaza and Lebanon. Prime Minister Netanyahu said Israel controls 60% of Gaza but said IDF troops will hold their positions on the Yellow Line while pursuing the disarmament of Hamas.
