The IDF says the gunshots came during a confrontation south of Hebron in the West Bank; two terrorists were killed as the IDF continues searches in the area

President Donald Trump accused Iran of fabricating reports of attacks and mines in the Strait of Hormuz to drive up oil prices ahead of the U.S. midterm elections. “Iran is doing everything they can to drive up the price of Oil prior to the U.S. Midterm Election,” Trump wrote. He claimed more oil was passing through the strait than before the conflict began, without providing supporting evidence in the post. Trump also accused Iranian authorities of continuing to kill protesters. “75,000 protestors lie dead in less than seven months,” he wrote, offering no evidence for the figure.
Trump's comments came after Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Navy said three more vessels struck mines west of the Strait of Hormuz overnight and caught fire. It accused the United States of encouraging ships to pass through “an illegally mined route,” claiming this had caused “an increasing number of naval incidents." “The invading US military must understand that if this path continues, the scope of the conflict will expand to the attackers’ bases in the region,” it said. “This is a serious warning.” READ MORE FROM THURSDAY

The UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environment said Friday that its monitoring system detected a tanker oil spill affecting beaches in Umm Al Quwain.

All beaches and coastal areas in Umm Al Quwain were temporarily closed until technical teams complete their assessments and determine the necessary safety and marine protection measures.
US denies backing any plan to change Lebanon’s political structure
The US State Department denied that Washington and Ankara had put forward any proposal to alter Lebanon’s political system.
Spokesperson Tommy Pigott said there was “no US-Turkey proposal concerning Lebanon, nor are there any US-backed proposals to change the structure of Lebanese politics established by the Taif Accords.”
He said the US remained “fully committed” to working with Lebanon and Israel on the Trilateral Framework to end the cycle of conflict “once and for all.”
Pigott named its pillars as disarming Hezbollah, “a terrorist proxy of Iran,” securing long-term security for Israel and Lebanon, and establishing peaceful neighborly relations based on mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.
