Office of the Prime Minister of Malaysia: "The ban is due to information security concerns and data collection on Malaysians"

Officials in Malaysia announced a ban for state employees against using the GPS app, Waze, due to the fact that it was developed in Israel, according to a report in the Southeast Asian country.
The office of the Malaysian Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, explained that the decision came due to "concerns over information security and data collection on Malaysians, because Waze is subject to the laws of the State of Israel."
