68th Grammy Awards: Bad Bunny makes history with Spanish-language album win, calls out ICE

The 68th Grammy Awards ceremony took place overnight Sunday-Monday in Los Angeles, hosted by Trevor Noah, who announced this would be his final time hosting.
A standout moment came when Bad Bunny became the first artist to win Album of the Year with a Spanish-language album, Un Verano Sin Ti.
The Puerto Rican rapper used his first televised acceptance speech at the 2026 Grammys to criticize U.S. immigration authorities, declaring "ICE out" in condemnation of federal agents. He added, "We are not aliens; we are human beings, and we are Americans."
Grammy winners are selected by approximately 15,000 eligible voters—members of the Recording Academy, including artists, songwriters, producers, and engineers. Over the past seven years, membership has expanded to boost diversity, with about 1,000 Latin voters added this year and 73% of current members joining since 2019.
Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. noted the changes reflect rising global popularity of genres like K-pop and Afrobeats.
