Licence to kill? licenceless Queen Elizabeth almost runs over couple
In a hurry to get to church, Queen bypasses an unsuspecting couple leisurely strolling in Windsor Great Park

Queen Elizabeth, 89, might be the only person in Britain who is permitted to drive without a licence but this unique privilege did not stop her from almost running over an unsuspected couple strolling on the Long Walk in Windsor Great Park on Sunday.
In a hurry to get to church on time, the Queen did not stop and wait for Scarlett Vincent and Toby Core to move to move out of her way but instead veered off the path and onto the bordering grass to get around them.
The couple, who were visiting Windsor Great Park with their 11-month-old son, were shocked to find out the identity of the rude driver.
"We didn’t actually have time to get out of the way as we were in a world of our own so she had to swerve around us," Vincent told the Daily Mail.
"Toby was pushing the trike and I was pushing Teddy’s pram when I realized what had happened. I turned to him and just said 'Oh my god, it’s the Queen' ”.
"He was as shocked and surprised as I was. I pointed at the car and she just smiled at us and waved," she added.
The Queen was a driver and mechanic in the Women’s Auxillary Territorial Service during the Second World War.
These days she is often seen at the wheel on Sundays as she travels to the church near the Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate.
