Do you support the establishment of a Palestinian state? Yoseph Haddad's old interview - and the clarification
A video in which the candidate placed second on the "Amcha Yisrael" list expresses support for the two-state solution and peace with the Palestinians was published on social networks

An interview with Yoseph Haddad, the candidate in the second spot on the "Amcha Yisrael" list, expressing support for the two-state solution and peace with the Palestinians, was published on Sunday on social media. This is an excerpt from an interview he gave to "Al Arabiya" about five years ago, in which he presented positions different from those of his party.
The video sparked many reactions and prompted Haddad to clarify.
Haddad addressed the issue and released a statement in which he said: "Dear friends, there is a reason why the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank hate me, and a large number of them also want to eliminate me. Which brings me to that same video from over five and a half years ago, before 'Operation Guardian of the Walls' and long before October 7th, which surfaced yesterday, and not by coincidence. That segment is from a long interview with Saudi television during the atmosphere of Trump's 'Deal of the Century,' which received enthusiastic support from Netanyahu and his government. At that time, over five and a half years ago, I believed that the end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict would come when proud Israeli Arabs would integrate into key positions, sit at the negotiating table, and thus ensure that the Palestinian bullshit would not work on us."
According to Haddad, the change in attitude towards the Palestinians and the possibility of any kind of peace with them occurred during the "Guardian of the Walls" operation, when he saw the Palestinians together with nationalist and extremist Israeli Arabs setting the streets of Israel on fire. "That's when I understood that there will be no peace with them and that they must not be given a state," Haddad stated.
The Knesset hopeful emphasized: "The massacre of October 7th by the Palestinian Nazis three years ago should have already awakened everyone, even the last ones who have not yet woken up. For years, I have been engaged in advocacy in every language to get others in Israel and around the world to wake up from the illusion regarding the Palestinians. It's not for nothing, as I said, that I am threatened by the Palestinians, at daily risk, and labeled by them as a collaborator and traitor."
Haddad added, "My actions and my path are the proof of who I am and what I truly am, not a timed and twisted campaign. So let there be no doubt for anyone – today I do not have a drop of trust in the Palestinians, and I am strongly opposed to a Palestinian state, which is an existential disaster for all of us. That is why I am in the Amcha Yisrael party led by Ofer Winter, which has made voluntary emigration from Gaza its goal, because that is the only solution there is. Don’t fall for spin and propaganda at my expense. On the contrary—as Minister of Information, I will expose the Palestinian lie to the world, to make sure that there is no one left who believes them and to finally kill the idea of a Palestinian state."

Ofer Winter, chairman of the "Amcha Israel" party, addressed the uproar and said: "I saw the things Yoseph Haddad said in interviews before October 7th. People are writing to me: go after him, dismiss him, throw Yoseph out, what hypocrisy, what disgrace. You've lost your minds. Now Yoseph Haddad has also become the enemy of the State of Israel? Shame on you! This is a man who has done and is doing so much for the State of Israel, who is paying prices you wouldn't believe, for you- for us. Friends, anyone who didn't change their views after October 7th is ignorant and foolish."
Winter concluded his statement by saying, "I am proud of Yoseph Haddad, a Golani fighter who was wounded in battle in Lebanon, and he is the strongest advocacy fighter for the State of Israel. I am proud of a person's ability to change his views in the right direction. I put Yoseph as number two as a correction for Israeli society. There are those who look at the past; we learn from the past in order to fix the future. There will never be a Palestinian state here; trucks will not enter Gaza; we will ensure that there is a decisive outcome; we will ensure that there is voluntary emigration.
