After weeks of negotiations, Ra’am party chairman Mansour Abbas is expected to announce on Monday that former Yesh Atid lawmaker Yoav Segalovitz will receive a reserved place on the party’s slate. The announcement is set to take place at an official press conference in Nazareth.

Last Thursday, the two met to finalize details. Their offices said they discussed “in a good and positive spirit” the possibility of Segalovitz joining Ra’am’s list in the upcoming Knesset elections and agreed to continue direct talks to advance the matter.

Segalovich announced in early August his resignation from the Knesset, where he had served on behalf of Yesh Atid since 2019. The former lawmaker stated: "Over the years, I had the privilege to influence issues close to my heart, both as a member of the Knesset and as the Deputy Minister of Public Security. I wish to thank Yair Lapid, my fellow Knesset members, and the activists of the party for their partnership, trust, and joint work for the State of Israel. I wish great success to Yesh Atid and the Beiteinu Party, as they continue to work determinedly for the citizens of the State of Israel."

Yesh Atid chairman, Yair Lapid, responded: "My colleague Yoav Segalovich announced today that he is ending his role as a Knesset member on behalf of Yesh Atid. Throughout his years of service in Yesh Atid, in the Knesset, and as Deputy Minister of Public Security, he acted with integrity and professionalism for the benefit of Israel’s citizens and the preservation of the rule of law. During the time of the change government, we worked together to eradicate crime in Israel, and I thank him for that. I thank Yoav for his contribution to Yesh Atid and to the State of Israel and wish him success in his future endeavors."
