French Pres. Macron makes historic visit to Jerusalem's Western Wall
Macron was also escorted to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and then to the Temple Mount

French President Emmanuel Macron made a historic visit to Jerusalem's Western Wall while on a "walk" through the Old City.
During the visit, Macron meditated in front of the wall, where he proceeded to write a message and place a note inside one of the cracks of the structure.
Before his trip the holy site, Macron was escorted to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, then to the Temple Mount, where the Al-Aqsa mosque is located.
His visit comes as Israel welcomes delegations from nearly fifty countries to commemorate the 5th World Holocaust Forum, marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp.
On Wednesday evening, Macron joined world leaders who gathered at the official residence of Israeli President Reuven Rivlin for an official state dinner.
