Jerusalem: Woman lightly injured after stabbing attack in the Old City
A 42-year-old bystander was injured when the suspect was shot by officers


Israeli security forces shot and killed a knife-wielding suspect attempting to stab police officers near the Lion's Gate in Jerusalem's Old City on Saturday morning.
According to Haaretz, Border Police said that forces identified a Palestinian man running towards them shouting "Allah Akbar," the officers said they shot him to neutralize him.
A 42-year-old bystander was injured when the suspect was shot by officers, she was transferred to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem with a minor leg injury.
The suspect was foiled by a citizen and police personnel who managed to apprehend her. She was taken into custody for interrogation by Israeli security forces, Hebrew-language outlet Walla News reported.
No injuries were reported in the incident, local media reported.
