UAE's first ambassador to Israel arrives at Ben Gurion Airport for three-day official visit

The United Arab Emirates' first ambassador to Israel, Mohamed Mahmoud Al Khaja, arrived at Ben Gurion International airport on Monday morning for a three-day official visit.
Al Khaja tweeted on Friday: "For Emiratis and Israelis, a new chapter of openness, understanding and prosperity is beginning. Looking forward to my first visit. See you next week. Shabbat Shalom."

He is expected to meet with senior officials and search for potential locations for the embassy and to live, The Times of Israel reported citing an Emirati official.
The ambassador will meet with Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi later on Monday and will present his credentials to President Reuven Rivlin.
Israel and the UAE normalized their relations on September 15 in Washington with the historic signing the Abraham Accords.
