Bahrain normalized ties with Israel back in 2020, under the Abraham Accords
Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met with Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on Tuesday for a discussion on the sidelines of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26).
The meeting was historic in that it marked the first time the pair sat down together since Bahrain and Israel agreed to normalize relations in the 2020 Abraham Accords.
No additional details on the talks were provided by Israel’s Prime Minister’s Office.

The two countries have created several key deals and joint initiatives since establishing formal ties.
Last week, Bahrain and Israel signed an agreement granting mutual recognition of their countries' respective Covid vaccination certificates and health pass systems.
Israel's Foreign Minister Yair Lapid also visited Bahrain in late September, and signed a series of partnership agreements with the country.
