Netanyahus host Mariah Carey and boyfriend for dinner during Israel visit

American pop star Mariah Carey has certainly been busy since she arrived in Israel on Saturday for a short personal visit.

The 45-year-old pop diva, who was visiting Israel with her boyfriend James Packer, enjoyed a festive dinner on Sunday evening at the official residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara.

Carey and Packer, who is an Australian entrepreneur said to be a friend of Netanyahu, joked with the prime minister and his wife about parenthood experiences and shared pictures of their sons, according to local media reports. 

After been greeted at Ben Gurion Airport by dozens of local fans on Saturday, the couple visited the Western Wall on Sunday.

They also visited Tel Aviv and plan to make a trip to the Dead Sea in the coming days.

Carey told her Israeli fans that she was “moved” to be in the Holy Land.

“I waited many years to come here, and I am very moved,” she said, according to Army Radio.
