IDF says uninvolved Palestinian caught in line of fire in Hebron ramming attack
The assailant who accelerated toward troops was alone in the vehicle, subsequent IDF statement clarifies, after initial claims of 2 terrorists

Two Palestinians were shot dead after a car ramming attack took place late on Saturday in the West Bank city of Hebron. The initial statement by the Israel Defense Forces stated that both men were terrorists, however a subsequent update from the military spokesperson said that one of the Palestinians shot dead was an uninvolved civilian caught in the line of fire.
The first statement said that soldiers of the Paratroopers Brigade operating in the city “opened fire on the terrorists and eliminated them,” before the clarification specifying there were no passengers in the vehicle that sped up at the soldiers.
Palestinians reports named the passerby who lost his life as Ziad Abu Daoud, a sanitation worker for the Hebron municipality, while the assailant was named as 20-year-old Ahmed Khalil al-Rajbi.
One Israeli sustained light injuries in the attack.
