Operation "Roaring Lion" in numbers: Iranian attacks, Israeli-US strikes and casualties
Latest data shows thousands of targets hit, hundreds of missiles and UAVs launched, and significant displacement of civilians

More than two weeks into the operation "Roaring Lion", data released by INSS (Institute for national Security Studies), based on official data and estimates, reveals extensive Iranian attacks launched toward Israel and neighboring countries, as well as massive Israeli-American strikes on Iranian and Hezbollah military targets and infrastructure.
According to the data released, Iran launched approximately 227 waves of attacks toward Israel, including over 290 missiles and more than 500 UAVs, with around 50% of the ballistic missiles carrying cluster munitions. Launches from Iran included 309 missiles and 1,600 UAVs toward the UAE, 234 missiles and 422 UAVs toward Kuwait, and 136 missiles and 59 UAVs toward Qatar, 25 missiles and 70 UAVs toward Saudi Arabia, and additional attacks toward Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Oman, Turkey, Cyprus, and Azerbaijan. From Lebanon, over 379 waves of attacks were recorded toward Israel, and five UAVs launched toward Cyprus.
The IDF and US forces have carried out extensive counterstrikes. In Iran, the IDF reported striking more than 7,600 targets, including 2,000 regime-related sites and 4,700 associated with the missile program, across roughly 4,700 sorties. The US military reported hitting over 6,000 targets, destroying 90 Iranian ships and submarines. Israeli officials said 70% of Iran’s ballistic missile launchers and over 150 air defense systems were destroyed. In Lebanon, around 1,100 targets were struck, including missile depots, command centers, and Radwan Force positions.
Casualty figures are significant. Israel reported 15 deaths, including 13 civilians and two IDF soldiers, with 3,310 wounded, including 436 children. US forces reported 13 killed and 200 wounded, 10 of them in serious condition. Iranian health authorities reported at least 1,444 killed and 18,551 wounded. In Lebanon, 826 were killed and 2,009 wounded, while IDF estimates suggest more than 380 militants were eliminated. Additional casualties were reported across the region, including the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, Oman, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Syria, and France.
The human impact extends beyond casualties. The UN Refugee Agency reports more than 3.2 million displaced in Iran, while Lebanese authorities recorded over 816,700 displaced persons, representing roughly 14% of the population. Within Israel, around 3,500 residents were evacuated, 10,314 compensation claims were submitted, and 110,000 reserve soldiers have been mobilized to support ongoing operations.

The IDF said targeted eliminations have included over 48 senior figures in Iran, 14 of them very senior, and more than 380 militants in Lebanon, including 15 senior operatives. Officials emphasize the operations aim to degrade missile and command-and-control capabilities and weaken both the Iranian regime and Hezbollah’s military infrastructure.
