IDF strikes Hezbollah financial assets in Lebanon
The sites targeted were used to fund Hezbollah weapons purchases and militant salaries, the IDF says

The IDF said it carried out another wave of airstrikes in Lebanon on Monday targeting assets belonging to the Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association, which it says finances Hezbollah’s activities across the country.
According to the military, Israeli Air Force fighter jets completed the strikes on Monday, hitting assets and storage facilities tied to the organization. The IDF said the operation followed earlier strikes last week against the same network.
“These funds are used by the Hezbollah terrorist organization to purchase weapons and weapon production materials and to pay terrorist salaries to support their terrorist activities,” the IDF said in a statement.
The military said the strikes were intended to “further deepen Hezbollah’s military degradation.” It added that the campaign is part of broader efforts to weaken the group’s operational capabilities.
The IDF also accused Hezbollah of exploiting Lebanon’s ongoing financial crisis. “For many years now, the people of Lebanon have experienced a financial and humanitarian crisis that is being exploited by the Hezbollah terrorist organization,” the statement said, adding that the group takes advantage of “the population's weak socioeconomic position to deepen the population's dependency and shore up its military presence.”
The military said it would continue operations against the group following Hezbollah attacks on Israel during the ongoing regional conflict. The IDF said it “is operating with determination against the Hezbollah terrorist organization as a result of the terrorist organization's decision to deliberately attack Israel on behalf of the Iranian regime, and will not tolerate any harm to the residents of the State of Israel.”
