Israel and US mark first American-made Iron Dome interceptors
This is the first US facility manufacturing Tamir interceptors, the primary interceptors used by the Iron Dome system

Israeli and US officials marked the delivery of the first Tamir interceptors manufactured in the US at a ceremony in East Camden, Arkansas, on Wednesday.
The interceptors are being manufactured at a new facility that opened in November 2025 and is jointly operated by Raytheon and Rafael (R2S).
This is the first US facility manufacturing Tamir interceptors, the primary interceptors used by the Iron Dome system.
Attending were Israel's defense attaché to the US Maj. Gen. Tal Politis, US Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, and Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, daughter of US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, as well as a number of other officials from the Israeli Defense Ministry and the US defense industry.
Politis extolled the effectiveness of Iron Dome, calling it "a symbol of our nation’s and our people’s security." He praised the system for protecting Israeli citizens throughout the war.
The goal of expanding interceptor production to the US is to provide additional interceptors for Israel while allowing the US to scale up domestic production.
