Israel strikes Iranian Quds Force transport fleet in Tehran
The planes were reportedly used to move weapons, funds, and supplies to Iran-backed networks across the Middle East

The Israeli army has provided new details on a Saturday operation targeting Iranian logistics in Tehran.
According to the IDF, Israeli Air Force fighter jets destroyed more than 16 transport aircraft used by the Quds Force, the Revolutionary Guard’s elite unit responsible for overseas operations.
The strike, based on intelligence from Israeli military services, targeted aircraft near Tehran’s airport as well as related equipment. The planes were reportedly used to move weapons, funds, and supplies to Iran-backed networks across the Middle East.
Israeli officials said the logistical network had been under long-term surveillance. For years, intelligence services monitored Tehran airport, tracking suspicious takeoffs and landings. While Iranian authorities allegedly tried to hide some aircraft in storage or dismantling areas, Israeli intelligence located the targets through detailed analysis, enabling the air force to execute the operation.
“The transport fleet was a central part of the Quds Force’s logistics,” an IDF spokesperson said. According to Israel, the network supplied weapons and resources to Tehran-aligned armed groups, bolstering their capabilities and threatening both Israel and regional stability.
