In a public break with Washington, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu officially rejected the 15-point Gaza peace roadmap proposed by US President Trump’s Board of Peace. Addressing his cabinet, Netanyahu stated that Israeli forces will not carry out any withdrawal from the Gaza Strip until Hamas undergoes complete and genuine disarmament of all heavy and light weaponry.

The US-led headquarters in Kiryat Gat is moving ahead with preparations for the next phase of the Gaza agreement despite Prime Minister Netanyahu’s public rejection of a 15-point plan, Israel’s Kan News reported Sunday.

According to Kan, Israel’s defense establishment has not received instructions to freeze preparations for the next phase. A source at the American headquarters told the broadcaster that work is expected to begin on August 30 on establishing the first base in Rafah for a multinational force, as part of preparations for the agreement’s next stage.
