The suspects were taken for questioning, the IDF said

The Israel Defense Forces early on Sunday arrested three Palestinians who crossed the Gaza border fence carrying grenades and incendiary devices, the military spokesperson said.

The suspects were taken to questioning after the IDF found a fragmentation grenade and "arson materials," the Israeli military said in a brief statement, without providing further details.

The arrests came after a flare-up in violence between the sides during weekly Friday protests, despite a recent truce agreement with Gaza’s Hamas leaders to put an end to the launch of incendiary devices across the border.

Gaza health officials said Israeli troops shot and injured 22 Palestinians in clashes as some 7,000 protesters demonstrate on the border. There were no reports of injuries to Israeli troops.
