Israel's former head of military intelligence Amos Yadlin sat down for an exclusive interview with Yoav Limor of Strictly Security on i24NEWS.
Yadlin, a formal general in the Israeli Air Force is currently serving as Executive Director of Tel Aviv University's Institute for National Security Studies (INSS).
The former head of IDF intel shared his concerns on how far the United States is willing to go to confront Iran, and his thoughts on US support of Israel.
"The Americans are now with us (Israel) kinetically, they were with us diplomatically withdrawing from the deal, they were with us on the need to have sanctions, but they were not there militarily. The fact that they are now willing to use military power is an encouraging element."
"But we have to see whether it's a one out of many others," Yadlin added.
On President Trump's decision to strike top Iranian general Qasem Soleimani and Iraqi commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Yadlin said "...He stopped the attack that the pentagon recommended and in this time he took maybe the most extreme alternative that was presented to him."
"If America will be with us in this struggle against Iran, this will be a huge positive development"
Amos Yadlin's full interview will be airing on i24NEWS Strictly Security, Saturday at 7PM Eastern Standard Time.
