IDF: One projectile launched from Gaza Strip into Israeli territory
In response, Israeli aircraft reportedly attack targets in Palestinian enclave

Red alerts sirens wailed Wednesday night in Israeli communities adjacent to the Gaza Strip in southern Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson said that one projectile was fired from the Palestinian enclave into Israel territory, with local media reporting it exploded in an open field. No injuries were reported.
Initial Hebrew media reports noted that the sirens went off in Kibbutz Kissufim.
Palestinian media reported late Wednesday night that IDF aircraft attacked targets in the southern Gaza Strip in the Khan Yunis area.
The incidents come a day after US President Donald Trump unveiled the long-awaited Mideast peace plan, dubbed "Deal of the Century," prompting angry reactions and rejections from the Palestinian leadership.
Earlier Wednesday, Israel border police forces arrested two suspects at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem with knifes in their possessions, the police said.
Just a short while before the rocket fire, the IDF announced it was bolstering security presence in the West Bank and on the border with Gaza.
"Following the ongoing situation assessment, it has been decided to reinforce the Judea and Samaria and Gaza Divisions with additional combat troops," the army said.
On Tuesday night, thousands of Palestinians rallied in the Gaza Strip, burning photos of Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. After the US administration's peace initiative was revealed, the Palestinian factions declared to initiate days of protests throughout the West Bank and Gaza, with Friday being their "Day of Rage."
