Israel: 56% of Jewish settlers support Trump peace plan, new survey finds
More than half of respondents think Trump will win November's presidential election

The majority of Jewish settlers living in the West Bank and the Jordan Valley support US President Donald Trump’s Mideast peace plan, according to a new poll aired Wednesday on i24NEWS.
In total, 56 percent stated they support the initiative, breaking down to 33 percent who said they are “likely to support” it and 23 percent answering “definitely support,” according to a survey conducted by Shlomo Filber and Tzuriel Sharon through Direct Polls Ltd. from June 4 to June 7.
Twenty-one percent answered they “definitely oppose” the plan and 16 percent answered they are “likely to oppose” it.
In comparison to prior peace plans conceived by Washington, 35 percent of the 1,182 adult respondents said Trump’s proposal is “good but not perfect,” while 20 percent said it is the “best possible plan.”
Only 28 percent said the new plan is “terrible [and] must be opposed.”
A clear majority - 55 percent - said they think Trump will win the November election against Democrat candidate Joe Biden. Thirty-two percent answered they “don’t know” and the rest (13 percent) thought Biden would win.
If the US president would lose to Biden, close to half of respondents said they either “believe” or are “certain” that US' recognition of Israel’s sovereignty over West Bank territories will not be honored by the veteran Democrat.
Thirty-three percent responded they either “believe” or are “certain” that the recognition to Israel's sovereignty, as well as previous agreements with the Jewish state, will be honored by Biden.
