The Israel Defense Forces thwarted an attempted terror attack adjacent to the community of Negohot, which is southwest of the West Bank city of Hebron.

According the IDF, soldiers arrested a Palestinian suspect wearing a military jacket near the community. The man allegedly had a knife and a map on his person and he has been taken in for questioning.

The attempted attack comes just days after the IDF said it apprehended a Palestinian man who was attempting to infiltrate the Jewish settlement of Itamar in the West Bank dressed in military fatigues, and that a second suspect is still on the run.

Whether the two men were planning to carry out a terror attack is still being determined, the military added, and emphasized that the suspects did not manage to enter the settlement, which lies south of Nablus.
