Danon at the UN: "You ignore the crimes of Hamas and spread lies about Israel"
“Hamas does not hide its use of children as human shields, its recruitment of child soldiers, or its utilization of schools as military bases. Yet in UN reports, Hamas is absent."

Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, clashed with Vanessa Frazier, the UN secretary-general’s special representative for children and armed conflict, during a UN committee meeting, accusing her of overlooking Hamas’s crimes and publishing false information about Israel.
Danon criticized what he described as the absence of any mention of Hamas in a report documenting more than 12,000 violations related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
He said the omission was particularly serious given Hamas’s use of children as human shields, recruitment of minors and conversion of schools into military bases.
Frazier responded that Israel had prevented UN observers from entering the Gaza Strip to verify reported violations. She urged Danon to press the Israeli government to grant them access, arguing that a country cannot block investigators and then criticize their reports for lacking documentation.

Danon rejected her response and accused her of bias.
“Hamas does not hide its use of children as human shields, its recruitment of child soldiers, or the use of schools as military bases. Yet, in UN reports, Hamas is absent,” he said.
“Instead of denouncing Hamas’s crimes, you are spreading false information about Israel. As long as you refuse to assume your professional responsibilities, your reports will have no credibility,” he added.
