Sara Netanyahu suggests Yair Golan had prior knowledge of October 7, as Democrats prepare legal action

Sara Netanyahu suggested that Democrats Chairman Yair Golan had prior knowledge of October 7 during Channel 14 interview on Monday.
She questioned how Golan had gotten to the front line to fight Hamas on the morning of October 7 so early without informing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“When you are a military officer of such a high rank and claim that you fought on October 7, you were already there early in the morning, already dressed and prepared," Netanyahu said during the interview. "At a very early hour, when others did not know, such as the prime minister."
The Democrats party responded harshly, calling the accusations "slanderous and false." They said that disseminating conspiracy theories and smearing "his heroism on October 7" had crossed a red line.

"While Netanyahu rushed to powder his face and search for excuses, Yair Golan charged forward and saved lives," the Democrats said.
MK Gilad Kariv, number 3 on the Democrats election list, said that the party's lawyers would look into preparing a defamation suit against Sara Netanyahu as she was not protected by her husband's immunity.
Blue and White Chairman Benny Gantz defended Golan, saying, "Golan is a brave warrior who fought and risked his life for the State of Israel over many decades, including on October 7." He then decried attempts to accuse Golan of treason as not only false but also damaging to the people of Israel and called for a state commission of inquiry into October 7.
Yair Golan had tweeted earlier in the night, warning the prime minister that "Like all those responsible for the failure, you too will be held accountable for this negligence immediately after we enter the next government."
