A 35-year-old Israeli man, married and the father of a child, was found dead on Saturday in his hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand, where he was staying for a vacation.

As soon as his death was reported, ZAKA’s international division was mobilized to assist the family and arrange for the repatriation of the body to Israel.

The organization is working in coordination with the Thai authorities, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Rabbi Nehemiah Wilhelm, the Chabad representative in Thailand.

The ZAKA organization said the procedures involved in returning his bodies home are aimed at preserving the 'dignity of the deceased and expediting their transfer to Israel as much as possible.'

The coffin is expected to leave Bangkok on Monday and arrive at Ben-Gurion Airport on Tuesday morning. The deceased will then to be taken to Jerusalem to be buried.

The exact circumstances of his death have not been specified at this stage.

This death comes just a few days after another tragedy involving an Israeli in Thailand. A young man lost his life in a motorcycle accident in Kanchanaburi province. According to initial reports, he was riding a large motorcycle when he collided with a pickup truck. The Thai authorities have opened an investigation to determine the precise circumstances of this accident.
