Delta Air Lines will resume daily nonstop service between New York and Tel Aviv in early September, the airline announced.

The first flight is scheduled to depart John F. Kennedy International Airport on September 6 and arrive at Ben Gurion Airport the following morning. The return service will leave Tel Aviv on September 7 and land in New York later that day.

Delta will operate the route using Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. The airline said it decided to restore service after conducting “a thorough review of the evolving security environment in the region.”

The company said it would continue monitoring developments in coordination with government agencies and aviation authorities, stressing that the safety of passengers and employees remains its top priority.

Delta suspended its Israel service amid heightened regional tensions. Its planned nonstop route between Boston and Tel Aviv, originally scheduled to launch in October, remains postponed indefinitely.

The announcement comes as several international carriers prepare to return to Ben Gurion Airport. United Airlines plans to resume flights between Newark and Tel Aviv on September 8, with twice-daily service.
