Israeli Olympic champion scores 14.466 in Croatia to add another continental gold to his decorated career

Israeli gymnast Artem Dolgopyat won the European floor exercise title on Friday, adding another gold medal to one of the most decorated careers in Israeli sport.
Dolgopyat, representing Maccabi Tel Aviv, scored 14.466 points in the final at the European Championships in Croatia to claim his third continental title in the event, after previous victories in 2020 and 2022.
The 29-year-old is the reigning Olympic silver medalist in the floor exercise from Paris 2024 and won Olympic gold at the Tokyo Games. He has also finished runner-up at the European Championships four times, in 2018, 2019, 2023 and 2024.
His World Championship record includes gold in 2023 and silver medals in 2017 and 2019.
"Artem once again proves that he is made of the stuff of great champions," Israel Gymnastics Federation chairman Avi Sagi said, praising his "extraordinary talent, determination and hard work." Sagi called the victory "another great and moving moment for Israeli gymnastics and Israeli sport."
