Aircraft used by Iran’s Supreme Leader destroyed in overnight strikes
The IDF said the strike disrupts Iran’s military coordination and degrades a strategic asset, though there are no independent reports of casualties or further damage

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) says it carried out a targeted overnight strike on Monday that dismantled an aircraft used by Iran’s Supreme Leader at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran.
The IDF statement described the operation as a precise strike against an aircraft that had been used by Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Republic, along with senior officials and Iranian military personnel.
According to the Israeli military, the aircraft played a role in facilitating flights tied to “military procurement” and coordination with allied or “axis” countries. The strike is meant to disrupt Tehran’s ability to coordinate military logistics and diplomatic movement amid widening hostilities.
“The dismantling of the aircraft disrupts the Iranian regime leadership’s coordination capabilities with axis countries, its military force build‑up efforts and its ability to rehabilitate its capabilities,” the IDF said, adding that the damage degraded “another strategic asset of the regime.”
Since late February, Israeli and US forces have conducted coordinated strikes deep inside Iran that targeted missile launch systems, command centers, and key military infrastructure across cities including Tehran, Isfahan, and Qom.
In early March, Israeli forces targeted high‑value sites in Tehran and reportedly struck fuel depots and other facilities, drawing condemnation from Iranian officials. Tehran’s foreign ministry described some of the attacks as “ecocide” and warned of further retaliation.
