IDF strike targets IRGC air force headquarters in Tehran
The military says the facility served as a command center for Iran's ballistic missiles and drone operations

The IDF said it targeted the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Air Force in Tehran during a series of large-scale strikes on Iranian regime targets. The military said the operation was carried out based on intelligence from the IDF Intelligence Directorate.
According to the IDF, the facility served as the main command and control center for the IRGC Air Force. The military said the headquarters directed the regime’s air force activities and housed units responsible for ballistic missile operations, unmanned aerial vehicles, and other air force capabilities.
“The site was the main command-and-control center used to direct the regime’s air force activity,” the IDF said in a statement. The military added that the Iranian regime’s ballistic missile command, UAV array, and other air force units all operated from the headquarters.
The facility was also responsible for generating a situational picture and planning missile attacks against Israel and other countries in the region, according to the IDF. The military said the strike formed part of a broader effort targeting Iran’s missile capabilities.
The IDF said the operation is part of what it described as a concentrated effort to dismantle the Iranian ballistic missile array and reduce its ability to coordinate attacks against Israel. The military said strikes on Iranian regime targets are continuing as part of the ongoing campaign.
The headquarters was associated with the IRGC Air Force leadership, including its commander, Amir Ali Hajizadeh, who the IDF said was previously eliminated during Operation Rising Lion.
