IDF strikes major Iranian security and Basij sites in Ilam Province
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) say they have significantly degraded the Iranian regime’s internal security and paramilitary infrastructure in Ilam Province

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has significantly degraded the Iranian regime’s internal security and paramilitary infrastructure in Ilam Province centers of the Internal Security Forces and Basij, the military revealed on Tuesday.
Since the start of Operation Roaring Lion, the IDF has carried out a series of airstrikes designed to dismantle the operational and command structures of the Iranian terror regime.
According to Israeli officials, the strikes in Ilam have hit multiple high-value targets, including the main headquarters of the Internal Security Forces, the Ministry of Intelligence, IRGC command centers overseeing protest suppression units, and several Basij and special forces installations.
“These operations degrade the Iranian regime’s ability to execute terror activities abroad and violently repress its own civilians,” an IDF spokesperson said.
The military noted that these forces were responsible for suppressing nationwide protests in December and January, using mass arrests, force, and lethal violence against demonstrators.

The IDF also highlighted that these strikes follow precise intelligence, aimed at disrupting Tehran’s ability to coordinate both internal security and paramilitary operations. According to the military, the dismantling of these command centers represents a significant blow to the regime’s control mechanisms in the strategically sensitive western province of Ilam.
