Trump: Israel working with US to secure Strait of Hormuz

US President Trump said Israel is cooperating with the United States to strengthen security in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, while Washington also discusses forming a broader international coalition to protect shipping in the region. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said the U.S. is in talks with several countries about joining the effort. He also claimed Iran is eager to negotiate but suggested Tehran is not yet prepared to meet the conditions required for a deal.

Saudi Crown Prince urges Trump to maintain pressure on Iran - report

Donald Trump has been holding regular conversations with Arab leaders amid the ongoing conflict with Iran, particularly with Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, according to U.S. officials. Sources say the Saudi leader has been encouraging Washington to continue striking Iran forcefully, urging a hard-line approach against Tehran. The advice echoes a long-standing stance once voiced by the late Saudi king Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, who famously urged the United States to “cut off the head of the snake” when dealing with the Iranian regime.
