Hezbollah terror attack thwarted in Kawait following Gulf attacks
Kuwaiti authorities have arrested ten members of a terrorist cell affiliated with the Lebanese terrorist organization on suspicion of attempting to damage vital infrastructure in its territory

Kuwait's Interior Ministry announced on Wednesday that the country had foiled a terror attack attempt by the Lebanese terrorist organization subordinate to Iran. According to the statement, ten suspects in a Hezbollah terror cell were arrested on suspicion of attempting to harm vital infrastructure in the country.
The statement from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior further noted that during the investigations, all members of the terrorist cell admitted to having received training outside the country, in camps belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization. The training included the use of weapons and drone operations, all as preparation for carrying out acts of sabotage against the Gulf kingdom.
The report from Kuwait comes after an unsettled evening in the Persian Gulf, following a wave of Iranian attacks against energy infrastructure in several countries. In Qatar, the world's largest liquefied natural gas export facility was attacked in the city of Ras Laffan. These attacks followed an Israeli strike on Iran's South Pars gas field, whose ownership was shared with Qatar.
In Saudi Arabia, several gas fields near the capital, Riyadh, were attacked. Iranian news agencies also reported that several targets in Bahrain were attacked, including the King Fahd Bridge that connects Bahrain to Saudi Arabia.
Qatar's state-owned oil and gas company, QatarEnergy, said that ‘extensive damage' had been caused after Iran launched four ballistic missiles at Ras Laffan Industrial City. Qatar said that four missiles were intercepted, but the fifth hit Ras Laffan. In a second attack on the same day, Qatar said that two additional missiles were launched from Iran at the Industrial City and that both were intercepted.
Following the attacks, Qatar declared the military attaché and the security attaché at the Iranian embassy in the country persona non grata and gave them 24 hours to depart from the country.
