The talks are set to take place on November 10–11 and will focus on "post-war security arrangements, de-escalation, humanitarian efforts, and next steps toward peace."

Witkoff also announced that US diplomats would be speaking with European colleagues in Brussels regarding the need to support a post-war Ukraine, including security guarantees and economic opportunities.

Bloomberg News reported shortly before the announcement that the US would be coordinating with NATO allies to increase contributions to key weapons-delivery programs for Ukraine.

This comes just weeks after NATO approved Ukraine's purchase of weapons, ammunition and military equipment via NATO's centralized procurement agency, potentially saving Ukraine billions and speeding up procurement.

Soon after, the US approved a $2.1 billion sale of 500 Patriot missiles to Ukraine amid a global shortage.
