Daughter of US Ambassador David Friedman immigrates to Israel
Talia Freidman, a trained nurse in her 20s, will become an Israeli but will retain her American citizenship

Talia Freidman, daughter of US Ambassador to the United States David Friedman, will officially immigrate to Israel on Tuesday, taking up Israeli citizenship along with 233 new immigrants who boarded a plane chartered by the Jewish immigration organization Nefesh B’Nefesh, the Times of Israel reported.
Talia, a trained nurse in her 20s, will become an Israeli but will retain her American citizenship.
“As a father, I celebrate my daughter Talia’s realization of a lifelong dream to become part of the State of Israel,” Ambassador Friedman told The Times of Israel. “Our entire family is bursting with pride at Talia’s vision and determination to help strengthen Medinat Yisrael [the State of Israel] — one of America’s strongest and most important allies.
Ambassador Freidman added that his daughter would continue to be an avid patriot for both to the United States and Israel.
“Talia will retain her US citizenship and become part a vibrant group of American Israelis who do much to support both countries. We wish her, and her fellow olim (immigrants), tremendous success and inspiration in their respective journey,” the ambassador said.
A ceremony for Talia Friedman and the other 233 new immigrants aboard the chartered flight will be held to welcome them upon their arrival at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport, slated for late Tuesday.
