American refueling plane operating as part of Iran war crashes in Iraq
The United States Central Command announced that a KC-135 refueling aircraft crashed during a flight in western Iraq. It was also reported that efforts are underway to rescue the crew.


An American refueling plane operating as part of the mission in Iran crashed Thursday in Iraq following an aviation accident.
The United States Central Command reported: "We are aware of the loss of an American KC-135 refueling aircraft. The incident occurred in friendly airspace during Operation 'Epic Fury,' and rescue efforts are ongoing. Two aircraft were involved in the incident — one of them crashed in western Iraq, and the other landed safely."

“This did not result from hostile fire or friendly fire,” emphasized US Central Command. “Additional information will be released as the situation develops. We ask for continued patience as we gather further details and provide clarity to the families of the service members.”
